Arnold police accused a man of selling drugs and carrying an illegal handgun.
The Trib reports that 18-year-old Charles Bacon of East Deer was a passenger in a car that was pulled over near 4th Avenue and 16th Street on November 19th, as the car had a broken headlight and was reportedly used in a robbery the previous day. Police saw him reach for his back pocket and put his hands between his legs. It was at that point that he told police he had a gun. Another passenger, 20-year-old Devon Jones of Pittsburgh, was also found trying to hide things and reaching for the center console. Jones was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Bacon is in Westmoreland County Jail after he was deemed a danger to the community. A preliminary hearing is set for November 30th.
