A Unity man was convicted on Friday of forging checks written out on fake bank accounts to pay for his daughter’s wedding.
The Trib reports that 51-year-old Joseph Malago was found guilty of 18 of 19 counts over four different cases. Among the charges were illegal firearm possession, theft, forgery and bad checks.
Malago’s bond was revoked and he will remain in prison until his sentencing hearing.
