Jeannette City School Administrators may relax the school’s dress code for good.
The Trib reports that the board relaxed the code that required students to wear polo or collared shirts and khaki, black or blue pants, to allow students to wear more informal clothing. The dress code, in place for about the last 10 years, was not enforced for specific days or events, such as dress down days or field trips, Jones said.
Students are allowed to use their own taste in clothes but still must abide by some rules such as wearing pants at waist level and keeping shoulders covered.
The new policy could go into effect for good as soon as February.
