Ray Shetler, Jr. was sentenced on Tuesday in connection with an incident in December of 2021 at a mobile home in Seward.
The Trib reports that Shetler was ordered to serve one to two years in prison and two years of probation for charges of aggravated assault, disarming a police officer and resisting arrest. Shetler fought with officers trying to take him into custody for failure to appear for a probation revocation hearing. Along with an officer being hurt in the incident, Shetler was shot in the eye with a taser.
Shetler will be given credit for time already served, and he is already eligible for parole.
