The owner of a youth sports business in North Huntingdon Township is proposing plans for a ten-million-dollar athletic complex.
N Zone Sports proprietor, Shane Larkin, says he pitched the idea for the build to township commissioners in December. Larkin is asking to lease roughly 18 acres of public works land off of Route 30 to build the indoor and outdoor, multi-sport facility. The complex would include an indoor turf field, basketball courts, an outdoor hockey rink, two football fields, and more.
Township officials say no commitment on the project has been made so far, and, any vote on a lease of the property would have to be done at a public meeting.
