A Greensburg man pleaded guilty to robbing a bank in Hempfield two years ago.
The Trib reports that 31-year-old Jonathan Smith, Jr. pleaded guilty to charges of robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, and other crimes for robbing the Key Bank on East Pittsburgh Street on November 24th, 2021. The note said that he also had a weapon on his person. Smith fled with more than $3,200 in cash, police said.
He remains free on a $50,000 unsecured bond but now faces up to 20 years in prison.
