The Lancaster man who is the main suspect in the shooting at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport was ordered to stand trial on Monday.
The Trib reports that 22-year-old Tyler Mieczkowski is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, fleeing police, and reckless endangerment in connection with the shooting on December 29th. Police say he fired several rounds into a box truck leaving the airport then leading police on a chase that ended in Blairsville. Mieczkowski’s attorney said his client had been suffering a mental health episode at the time of the shooting.
His formal arraignment before Common Pleas Court Timothy Krieger is set for February 28th.
