The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County has lifted mandatory water conservation efforts for customers served by the Beaver Run Reservoir. The Trib reports that customers who live North of Route 30 in Westmoreland, Indiana and Allegheny Counties have been under the conservation order since mid-December due to ongoing drought-like conditions that caused the reservoir to go below drought levels. Since January 9th, the reservoir has risen six feet due to the conservation effort, and steady rain and snow throughout the month.
