HERMINE MAN ARRESTED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES

A Herminie man was arrested on charges that he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl multiple times between September and October of 2022.  The Trib reports that 20-year-old John Risher III was accused of assaulting the girl at a location in West Newton, giving her alcohol, marijuana and other drugs.  Police found several sexually suggestive images of him on the victims phone and iPad, including one where he was seen pointing a gun at the camera.  She also claimed that he threatened to hurt her and her mother if she reported them to police.  He is now in Westmoreland County Jail on $500,000 bail and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 12th.
