WESTMORELAND COUNTY SHERIFF APPOINTS NEW CHIEF DEPUTY

The Westmoreland County Sheriff has appointed a new chief deputy.  The Trib reports that Sheriff James Albert named Jennifer Shipley as his new second-in-command.  The 37-year-old from Youngwood has been with the Sheriff’s office since 2009 and has held several positions in the office during that time.  She takes over for Roger Eckels, the former District Judge who served in the post for 13 months before retiring in 2021.
