UNITY COUPLE ACQUITTED OF ALL CHARGES

A Unity couple were acquitted of all counts in a retrial on charges connected with the alleged rape of a girl.  The Trib reports that both Bruce Palmer and his wife Marie Farabaugh Palmer had been tried and convicted in 2018 and were serving sentences in prison when their convictions were overturned in 2019.  It was determined the victim’s testimony was not specific enough to support the convictions and her outbursts at the time both in and out of court were meant to sway the jury.
