A woman from Monessen and two other men pleaded guilty to charges of animal cruelty. The Trib reports that 49-year-old Charlotte Fiem and 44-year-old Ryan Fiem of Monessen, and 33-year-old Christopher Conway were charged in connection with an investigation that goes back to June of 2022, when police found dozens of dogs, cats, rabbits and birds in unsanitary conditions at the Fiems’ home on Schoonmaker Avenue in Monessen. Charlotte Fiem was ordered to serve two years on probation. Ryan Fiem and Conway were sentenced to serve one year probation. All three were ordered to jointly pay more than $13,000 in restitution to All But Furgotten in North Huntingdon, the agency who took care of the animals.
