The cause of a fire that destroyed a multi-story wooden house last Friday in South Huntingdon township remains unknown. The Trib reports that the 10 fire companies brought in to fight the fire at a home on Boy Scout Road had a problem with a lack of fire hydrants in the area. Fire officials said that the nearest hydrant was a mile and a half away from the house. The fire killed four cats and displaced the residents.
