One person died in a crash in Allegheny Township on Wednesday afternoon. According to a report from County Coroner Timothy Carson, 29-year-old Nicholas Ganter died in the crash at 3:22 PM near 650 Melwood Road. Ganter was driving a pickup truck when it crossed the center line, and hit a guide rail and a tree on the opposite side of the road. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The death was ruled accidental. Lower Burrell Police investigated the crash.
