An Indiana County woman was killed in a crash on Route 217 in Derry Township. Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson said in his report that 49-year-old Regina Endress of Josephine was driving northbound on Route 217 near the intersection with Barkley’s Road when her car was hit by another vehicle heading south on that same stretch of road. Endress was pronounced dead at the scene, while a child travelling with her was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital. Carson said that Endress was not using her seatbelt at the time. The cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy. State police from the Kiski Barracks assisted in the investigation.
