The State of Pennsylvania is getting a direct payment of 200-million dollars to replace lead water pipes. The funding is part of a nearly six-billion-dollar nationwide clean water initiative discussed by Vice President Kamala Harris during her visit to Pittsburgh yesterday. Harris detailed the investment in front of a crowd of about 200 people at the Kingsley Association community center in the Larimer neighborhood. The City of Pittsburgh is on target to have all of the existing lead water pipes replaced within the next two years, according to the vice president.
