Former and current students are joining with faculty and staff to push back against possible cuts at Penn State branch campuses. A rally arguing for continued support of the local campuses was held at Penn State New Kensington last night. A proposal that would slash the overall university budget by about 54-million dollars is being prepared to go up for a vote in front of the board of trustees this summer. Under the current plan, Penn State’s 20 branch campuses would be subject to cuts to cover about 14 percent of that reduction.
