Customers of the Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority are being warned about some scam activity. KDKA-TV reports that scammers are telling customers that they are behind on their water payments and could face a shutoff if they don’t pay up immediately. The authority says they never call to collect payment, and requests would come through mail or email, while any phone payments would be initiated by the customer.
