The lawyer for an Apollo man sentenced to life in prison for First-Degree murder is saying that a mistrial should have been declared for improper conduct by jurors. The Trib reports that attorney Adam Gorzelsky claimed a juror in the trial of Alfred Steele improperly contacted the assistant district attorney during the trial and that some jurors had prematurely reached a decision before testimony was concluded. Steele was convicted last November of killing his wife in a U-haul facility in Lower Burrell in May of 2022.
