A shuttered parking garage in Greensburg could be torn down and replaced with a new parking lot by the end of this summer. The Trib reports that on Monday, Greensburg City Council approved an agreement with Independence Health System Westmoreland to repurpose $1.5 million in RACP funding to demolish the Hutchinson Parking Garage, which has been closed the last two years due to deteriorating conditions. Council also voted Monday to submit a land development application for the parking lot project.
