WESTMORELAND COUNTHY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER TO REOPEN THIS MONTH

The Westmoreland County Juvenile Detention Center is set to reopen later this month. The Trib reports that because of staffing shortages and operational problems, the 16-bed facility partially closed last June, but recent staff additions will allow the facility to reopen. Early plans call for the facility to initially accept three to four juveniles. Detention Center Director Rich Gordon said the facility will open by the end of the month.
