MAJOR HOUSE FIRE IN JEANNETTE

Officials say several people are still unaccounted for at the scene of a major house fire in Jeannette. The Westmoreland County Coroner was called to the property on Guy Street, near Harrison Avenue overnight. WPXI-TV reports the house collapsed during the blaze and flames spread to a car parked out on the street. Fire Chief Bill Frye says one adult and two children were rescued at the home, but there may have been about eight people inside when the fire started around midnight. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
