VANDERGRIFT LOOKS INTO APPLYING FOR WALKWORKS GRANT

Vandegrift officials are working on making the town more “walkable”.  The Trib reports the town officials are looking into applying for a $30,000 WalkWorks grant  If chosen, the borough will use the funds to develop an Active Transportation Plan with lists of priority connections, potential trails and more, but will not fix sidewalks or streets.  The plan would make things easier to get other grants in the future.
