VANDERGRIFT MAN SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE

A man is spending years behind bars for sexually abusing a boy in Vandergrift.  A judge has sentenced 26-year-old Joshua Irvine to two concurrent prison terms of ten to 20 years following his guilty pleas related to the abuse.  The mother of the victim told investigators that Irvine was her brother’s best friend and that she allowed him to stay with the family in 2022 because he needed a place to live.  The assaults happened multiple times during that three-month period, according to authorities.
