More asbestos was found at the Heritage Elementary School in the Franklin-Regional School District. The Trib reports that because of that, the cost of demolishing the building is going up from $400,000 to $1 million. Asbestos was found in the original roof decking and there are also minor asbestos issues with windows and doors. District officials said when the building was originally renovated, builders simply framed around the old glass block windows, where asbestos was discovered.
