A Youngwood woman pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to aggravated identity theft and access device fraud for fraudulently renting cars out of a Monoreville rent-a-car business in exchange for heroin. The Trib reports that 41-year-old Jackie Neubauer was previously the sole employee and manager of Avis in Monroeville. She admitted to using stolen credit card numbers to rent cars in exchange for drugs and cash between August and November of 2022. Avis noticed discrepancies and initiated an investigation. US Attorney Eric Olshan said Neubauer’s actions cost the company over $500,000. She will be sentenced on July 31st.
