FIVE JEANNETTE OFFICERS AND NEIGHBOR HONORED FOR HEROIC EFFORTS

Five Jeannette officers and a neighbor were honored for their heroic efforts in the fatal fire on March 20th. The Trib reports that council honored city Officers Bryan DeFelice, Matthew Painter and Jake Fazekas and Sgt. James Phillips and Penn Township Officer Luke Lock along with neighbor Jack Mull for their efforts to save Miranda John and two of her children. They worked together to put up a ladder and helped the three get out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
