More concerns about heavy rain triggered a Flood Warning for our area early this morning. The National Weather Service put a flood warning in place for portions of Westmoreland County until 12:30 this afternoon. That includes the city of Greensburg, and other portions of Western Westmoreland County. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. The heavy rain is over, but there are still some concerns with flooded roads and creeks and streams going over the banks. If you encounter a flooded road, the best thing to do is to “turn around and don’t drown.” A check of your Accuweather forecast is coming up in a few minutes.
