HOSTETTER MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE

A Hostetter man is charged with attempted homicide in connection with a stabbing that happened Wednesday at the Hostetter Hotel. The Trib reports that 62-year-old William Evans, Jr. was arrested in connection with the incident that happened at 3:30 PM yesterday at the establishment. The victim told police that Evans hit him in the head and used a knife to stab him in the torso. The man fought back by spraying a fire extinguisher. Evans is now in Westmoreland County jail in lieu of $200,000 bail and a preliminary hearing is set for May 6th.
