State Education Secretary Khalid Mumin spoke before the Pennsylvania Press Club on Monday. His speech made the case for a changing educational landscape, which he says the state must keep with, and how its students learn. Mumin noted data that shows 367 of Pennsylvania’s 500 school districts suffer from an adequacy gap, which Governor Josh Shapiro aims to address. The Secretary’s talk came as hearings examine Shapiro’s educational plans in Harrisburg.
