Panera Bread locations are getting rid of a caffeinated drink that a Monroeville teen says he nearly died from. Luke Adams says he lost consciousness and went into cardiac arrest after drinking a 30-ounce Charged Lemonade before going into a movie theater with friends. The drinks can contain up to 300 milligrams of caffeine, over three times more than a typical cup of coffee. Panera is pulling the beverages after customers filed multiple lawsuits. Adams spent nearly a week at AHN Forbes Hospital after his life was saved thanks to the efforts of his friends, first responders, and two nurses and a cardiologist who happened to be seeing the same movie he was.
