MONROEVILLE SAM’S CLUB ASSAULT SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

A suspect who is accused of punching an elderly man outside a Sam’s Club in Monroeville last year is now in custody. The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Terrel Byars has been arrested on a bench warrant after being found hiding at a home on Wymore Street in Pittsburgh. Byars was charged with aggravated assault for the attack last August that left the 84-year-old victim with a swollen eye and a head injury from hitting the ground.
