GREENSBURG POLICE ARREST MAN ACCUSED OF HITTING PEDESTRIAN AND FLEEING

Police in Greensburg are reporting the arrest of a man they say hit a pedestrian and fled the scene. The accident dates back to December when a 76-year-old woman was hit near South Main and West Third. The victim survived the accident. Police on Friday arrested suspect Christopher Degnan on a charge of aggravated assault by vehicle. Police say Degnan told them that he believed he had hit a pothole.
