PA DEPT OF CORRECTIONS ASKING FOR $300 MILLION NEXT YEAR

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is asking for 300-million dollars next year. This, despite declining prison populations across the state. The DOC also closed two state facilities recently. Governor Josh Shapiro’s proposed state budget includes 200-million dollars in additional funding for the department.
