A fire damaged a hangar and at least two planes at the Rostraver Airport yesterday. The Trib reports that the fire was called in at 9:45 in the morning at the airport off Route 51 close to the border of Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. Rostraver Central Fire Chief Vince Campbell said fire crews quickly put it out before it could spread to other buildings. The owner of the hangar, Francis Hick, 82, of Elizabeth Township said that he regularly flies one of the planes and was planning to sell another before the fire broke out. No injuries were reported. Modreate damage was reported to the hangar. State police fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire, which is believed to be electrical in nature.
