GOVERNOR SHAPIRO REACTS TO RUNNING MATE CHOICE

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is reacting to Vice President Kamala Harris’s decision to pick Tim Walz as her running mate.  In a statement after the announcement, Shapiro said the Minnesota Governor is an “exceptionally strong addition” to the Democratic ticket.  Shapiro, who was also reportedly a finalist for the V-P slot, added that his work in Pennsylvania is far from finished.  Shapiro also spoke at the first Harris-Walz event in Philadelphia yesterday.
