LATROBE REJECTS ONLY GARBAGE SERVICES BID

Earlier this week, Latrobe City officials rejected the only bid submitted for garbage hauling services.  The Trib reports that the sole bidder, County Hauling, presented a bid package that would start at $129 for trash in bags and  $139 for trash in “toters”, but even with figures corrected, it still meant an increase in cost compared to current hauler Republic Services.  City Council approved seeking a new round of bids, which would be due by October 28th.
