GREENSBURG WOMAN IN COURT FOR PRE-TRIAL HEARING

A Greensburg woman was in court on Thursday for a pre-trial hearing on several charges including attempted murder.  The Trib reports that 31-year-old Skye Naggy is accused of trying to kill her eight-year-old daughter with illegal drugs in October of 2022.  Assistant DA Jim Lazar said that a pending psychological evaluation will have no impact on the case and will not dismiss the attempted murder charges.  Police contend Naggy gave a dose of fentanyl to her 8-year-old daughter hours after she was released from an involuntary mental health commitment, purchased the drugs, picked up the child and drove to a remote, wooded area near the Loyalhanna Lake and intended to hurt herself and the daughter.
