The Leechburg Area School Board is planning to try out a new approach to meetings. The board is going to hold their agenda-setting and voting meetings on the same night on a trial basis. That approach is used by many other school districts and municipal governments in the area, but not everyone supports the plan. Board member Melanie Knight says the change will lead to scenarios where a vote is held on a measure that she has not had the opportunity to research. The school board will hold the meetings on one night for the next three months before making a final decision.
