The state of Pennsylvania is now accepting requests to sell cocktails in a can. The Liquor Control Board started accepting applications earlier this week. Stores that sell wine, like grocery stores, convenience stores, hotels, and restaurants will be able to sell the cocktails-to-go. Pennsylvania lawmakers okayed a change to the Commonwealth’s liquor laws earlier this summer to allow the popular new drinks to be sold. No one is saying just how many stores and restaurants will apply, but the Liquor Control Board is expecting hundreds of thousands of applications. The LCB expects to start issuing the first licenses on September 16th.
