- A second man was charged in connection with a fake prescription drug scheme in Penn Township. The Trib reports that 55-year-old Curtis Stewart of North Huntingdon is charged with acquisition by misrepresentation, forgery, identity theft, criminal use of a communication facility and related charges. Police say that he worked with nurse practitioner Joseph Sapp who pleaded guilty August 22nd to charges related to writing fake prescriptions for oxycodone. According to the new complaint, Sapp picked Stewart up at a New Stanton hotel on numerous occasions between September and November to pick up the drugs from the fake prescriptions at various pharmacies. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 1.
