STABBING AT HEMPFIELD TOWERS

A resident of the Hempfield Towers faces charges related to a stabbing in the apartment complex on Sunday.  The Trib reports that 30-year-old Timothy Wetzel allegedly stabbed an un-named individual while the two rode the elevator.  Wetzel allegedly used racist comments and threats at the victim before he stabbed them.  He was found sitting outside the complex and admitted the stabbing to police.  Wetzel is in Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, and is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, public drunkenness and other crimes.
