The mother of Cassandra Gross is planning a search next week for her daughter that has been missing since 2018. The Trib reports that Kathie Gross declined to say what searchers will be looking for but she said volunteers should bring a bottle of water and heavy boots, and a metal detector if they have one. If anything is found, it should be preserved and investigators should be notified, said Melanie Jones, spokesperson for the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office, which is prosecuting a homicide case related to Cassandra Gross’ death. Gross was last seen April 7th of 2022, and her burned-out vehicle was found a few days later near Twin Lakes park. She was declared dead by a judge in 2019.
