CITY OFFICIALS TO VOTE ON TRANSPORTATION PLAN

Greensburg city officials will vote this me Monday on the active transportation plan.  The Trib reports that the plan is used to  improve infrastructure for walking and cycling around Greensburg that city officials can use to seek grants for projects.  The high-priority projects in the plan include:  Adding crosswalks to North Main and North Maple streets on either end of Tunnel Avenue, Adding lighting and flexible posts between sidewalks and vehicle traffic in tunnels on Arch and College avenues. and Creating separation of the shoulder on College Avenue from traffic north to the boundary with Hempfield.
