RAMSEY ROAD BRIDGE CLOSED

Ligonier Township officials have closed the Ramsey Road Bridge near Wilpen after a problem was discovered during a routine inspection. The Trib reports that a bridge abutment had been undermined and dropped 2-4 inches, and that prompted the emergency closure on Wednesday. Officials are considering replacing the bridge as they cannot make the necessary repairs in-house. Robb Road will be used as the designated detour around the bridge.
