A trip by a 150-ton superload through western Pennsylvania has been delayed. PennDOT says the delay is due to a permit processing situation that needed to be remedied before the trip started. The trip will take place tomorrow and the the 136-foot long, 28-foot wide cargo will travel on Interstate 80 Eastbound through Mercer, Butler, and Clarion Counties to Exit 78 in Jefferson County. It will continue through Jefferson County on Routes 36 South, 436 South, and 119 South into Indiana County where it will take Route 22 West through Westmoreland County and into Allegheny County. People are advised to take an alternate route tomorrow and not to watch the trip from the roadside for the safety of you and the drivers involved.
