ASSAULT CHARGES FILED AGAINST MONESSEN SUSPECT

Charges have been filed against a Monessen suspect accused of assaulting a woman who is five-months pregnant.  The victim says she was at a Short Street home earlier this month when she got into an argument with the other person who, she says, then pushed her and kicked her multiple times in the stomach.  According to the victim, the suspect knew that the she was pregnant and had, in fact, been invited to an upcoming baby shower.
