A Clairton man lead police on a 20 mile chase after he fled a traffic stop in Hempfield. The Trib reports that a state trooper on the PA Turnpike pulled over a Jeep with nearly-opaque tinted windows. The driver, 34-year-old Joshua J. Bristo is on federal parole. Troopers smelled marijuana coming from the back of the vehicle and when they asked him to search his vehicle, he got back in the Jeep and fled east on the Turnpike. After weaving in and out of traffic, reaching speeds of 100 miles an hour, and leading police on routes 31 and 819, the chase ended when he was apprehended near Huff Avenue and Spruce Street. Bristo is charged with fleeing police and was denied bail.
