The two former Westmoreland Hospital nurses accused of taking and sharing photos and making recordings of patients without their permission were arraigned yesterday in Westmoreland County Court. The Trib reports that 36-year-olds Peter Castellano of Pittsburgh’s Fineview neighborhood and Melissa Tompkins of Baldwin surrendered on Thursday on charges of disclosing intercepted communications, criminal use of a communications facility, invasion of privacy and harassment. Both nurses deny the allegations. The two are free on $40,000 bail, and as part of their bail conditions, the two are prohibited from holding caretaking jobs.
