The summary charges that were filed against three local officials in Allegheny Township are now dropped. Supervisor Michael Korns, former Supervisor John Rennick Steele and former Township Manager Gregg Primm were accused of violating the state’s code for townships back in August. A code enforcement contractor filed the charges, claiming those three men signed a ten-thousand-dollar check that was given to the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company for their Christmas toy drive without an approval vote by the board. Primm says the money never belonged to the township and it was simply being held in the municipal escrow account.
